miley cyrus and my 2 cents

On occasion, there are things that happen in the news that really snarl my undies. The latest being Miley Cyrus having a wardrobe malfunction on stage during a concert and Reuters being there to snap the pictures of her exposed lady parts.

First of all, it's not like Miley and her handlers have never done this before, right? I mean, the kid has quite a few concerts under her belt, so it seems like somebody...uhmmm...let's say, HER PARENTS, might have some say over their "17-year-old-still-a-minor" daughters career choices?

...or am I just being a total antique?

I've watched a couple interviews where Reuters is being grilled for having sold and published Mileys crotch shots. Yada yada big bad Reuters should be prosecuted for child porn...blah blah blah. Honestly, I think Reuters is pretty creepy for what they've done, but hey...they're in the news business. This is what they do. And if Miley Cyrus doesn't have the gnat-brains to wear something appropriate on stage, then hey...don't be crying about it. If it's covered up sweetie, then it stands to reason that Reuters or anyone else can't take a picture of it.

...people are so stupid.

And then, can I just say how incredibly disappointed I am with this 'new direction' Miley Cyrus is taking with her career. Is it me or does it seem like someone is selling out in order to ride this gravy train just a little bit longer. It's been my observation that if an artist doesn't have much in the way of 'talent'...as in...vocal chops, ie: Madonna, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez...(and that's my short list)...then they default to this bizarre skankland. It has nothing to do with talent, it has everything to do with being vulgar and scantily clad and lip syncing to a track...(because no one would buy a concert ticket if they actually performed live).

deep breaths...deep breaths...in with the good...out with the bad...

If you are a total antique, then I am one with you.
