If you're like me, you may have very fond memories of piling in the car with your family and taking a drive to see all the Christmas window displays along your town main street. My mom, who is in her 80's, still remembers as a child, the excitement of traveling to downtown Ft Wayne, IN to view the holiday lights and windows at the big retail store Wolf & Dessauer's.
But W&D's, like the now defunct flagship Marshall Field's on State Street in Chicago, are just a memory eclipsed by the latest video games and movie special effects. But, there are still a few retailers who continue to place a high priority on this slowly dying art form. If you can't go in person, take a moment to view here.
