If you haven't already heard, the peplum is back in a big way for spring...which I am just tickled about. I have my mother's round...uhmmm...backside...well, I don't actually have hers because she is still using hers, but...oh, you know what I mean. Anyway, anything that covers up my big 'ol biscuit and draws attention away from it makes me happy. Peplums are fun. And they are most certainly not a look that only emaciated models can wear. The whole point of a peplum is that it celebrates a waist-to-hip curve, so pass the Krispy Cremes all you "ladies of largese"...finally a fashion trend we can wear without asking our BFF's if our butt looks too big.
Here are a couple modern twists on the peplum from the recent runway shows that I thought were interesting.
