If you haven't already heard, the peplum is back in a big way for spring...which I am just tickled about. I have my mother's round...uhmmm...backside...well, I don't actually have hers because she is still using hers, but...oh, you know what I mean. Anyway, anything that covers up my big 'ol biscuit and draws attention away from it makes me happy. Peplums are fun. And they are most certainly not a look that only emaciated models can wear. The whole point of a peplum is that it celebrates a waist-to-hip curve, so pass the Krispy Cremes all you "ladies of largese"...finally a fashion trend we can wear without asking our BFF's if our butt looks too big.

Here are a couple modern twists on the peplum from the recent runway shows that I thought were interesting.
Georgio Armani
Haider Ackerman
Peter Som
Lanvin
Have the desire to try it, but not the dough? Here are some options for all of you budget fashionista's out there.
Jason Wu $4,019-----Dorothy Perkins $27
Christian Dior-----ModCloth $49.99
Vera Wang-----Asos $69.93
Asos $193.37-----Marchesa
May the peplum be with you, Miss Bea
