I don't know why, but I just love this time of year when Pantone puts out their color forecast.
(insert the sound of crickets here...)
I know, I know...most people are 'whatever' about it...and I'm okay with that...I'm just sayin' that besides the start of Project Runway...and a Dairy Queen hot fudge sundae...oh...and pie...there's not much else that gets me this giddy. Oh...and shoes...I forgot shoes. Anyway, for those who don't know, a quick refresher.
(er-hum...)
"Pantone LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of X-Rite, Incorporated, is the world-renowned authority on color and provider of color systems and leading technology for the selection and accurate communication of color across a variety of industries. The PANTONE® Name is known worldwide as the standard language for color communication from designer to manufacturer to retailer to customer."
Still not impressed? Okay, here's where it ties in for me. The muckety-mucks at Pantone attend New York Fashion week...see what colors are trending on the runways and then predict the top 10 colors all of us will be clamoring for next season. And they are almost always right on the money.
So without further adieu, the Pantone 2012 Spring Color Forecast! Yippee!
