Really interesting article at The Cut on "The Most Torturous Shoes of All Time". I do question the thoroughness of the article though, as I didn't see the black slingback pointy toe Bandolino's I wore in 2004 on a business trip to New York City. After 12 hours of airport escalators, pavement and taxi's, I threw those fiendish foot traps in the trash and never looked back.
